Prepping the House for Guests

Do you have guests coming for the holidays?  If so, it's probably time to get all that stuff out off the guest bed! ;-)

Along with a general dusting and vacuuming, there are a few things that can make your guests stay extra special.  Here are some ideas:

1. Bottles of water

There's nothing worse than waking up in the middle of the night dying of thirst.  I always like to put a bottle of water on either side of the bed for guests so they don't have to go looking for one in the middle of the night.

2. A lovely scent

A candle (and even better, maybe one that reminds them of home like our city inspired candles!) on the side table makes the room feel cozy and smell wonderful.

3. Blinds Open + Lamps On

It's a simple thing, but it makes the room feel so welcoming for it to be well lit when your guests arrive.

4. A spot for their things

Whether it's an actual luggage rack, dresser, or empty closet, it's great to give them a place to put their things.

5. The Wi-Fi password

Print it off and stick it in a little frame so when they are headed to bed and pulling out their Ipad they're not up a creek without the wifi password.

6. A travel kit

It's rare that you don't forget something when you travel.  Make a little bundle of shampoo, conditioner, body wash, toothbrush and toothpaste, etc. and leave it in the room.
